Delete your Altar account — Android

Last updated: May 27, 2026

This page explains how to delete your Altar account (Android app, com.altarapp.android) and what happens to your data when you do.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)

  1. Open the Altar app on your Android device.
  2. Tap the gear icon (top right of the Home screen) to open Settings.
  3. Scroll to the Settings section → tap Account.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the Account screen → tap Delete my account.
  5. Confirm in the dialog. Deletion is immediate.

You don't need to be signed in to delete your account — if you've never signed in, the in-app deletion still removes everything stored under your anonymous user ID.

Option 2 — Request by email

If you've uninstalled the app or can't access it, email us at thealtarapp@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete my Altar Android account". Include any of the following you have access to so we can locate your account:

We will action the request and confirm completion within 30 days, and typically within 72 hours.
